Final Girls

Ten years ago, Quincy Carpenter went on vacation to the “Pine Cottage” with five classmates—and came back alone. Her friends died at the hands of a brutal maniac. Journalists instantly dubbed her the Last Girl and listed her as the third in a pair of survivors of similar massacres: Liza and Samantha. But unlike them, Quincy doesn’t remember what happened in that cottage. Her brain seems to have hidden from her the memories of all those bloody horrors.

Quincy does her best to become an ordinary person, and she almost succeeds. She lives with a caring, attentive boyfriend, runs a popular baking blog, and thanks to medication, she barely remembers the long-ago tragedy.

But then Liza is found at home in a bathtub, with her veins cut, and Samantha bursts into Quincy’s life with an obvious plan to turn over her terrifying past and force her to remember everything. What are Samantha’s goals? Gradually, Quincy understands that only by remembering the past will she be able to sort out the present.
But what if the price is too high?
