Description
Sometimes the answers to the most important questions are already hidden in our past.
A continuation of the bestseller about Mr. McBride.
A warm and poignant coming-of-age story about friendship and human compassion—one that sets off a chain of good changes and quietly transforms the lives around it. For those who love books by Fredrik Backman.
At ten years old, Jason heard a fatal diagnosis. A donor heart saved him—along with it, he was given a chance to grow and continue living. Twenty years have passed, but the feeling of guilt still won’t let go…
Alexandra is also ten. She has diabetes, and she faces deportation to a country where insulin—life-saving insulin—is nearly unavailable. Her only hope is a miracle.
Meeting the girl brings Jason back the lessons in kindness from Mr. McBride. Will he manage to fulfill Alexandra’s five most cherished wishes when there is hardly any time left?..
