Vices and Their Admirers

Vladimir Arkhipov lived calmly in a luxurious “bachelor flat” with his loyal mastiff and had no intention of changing anything in his life. Everything happened against his will. Lizaveta, a quirky neighbor, died and left him, by inheritance, an apartment and her adopted “orphan girl.” As it turns out, the “orphan girl” was an adult woman—Masha—who had stunned the imagination of lonely Arkhipov. But why didn’t the neighbor leave the apartment to her? Was it because people from the sect “The Path to Joy” were claiming it, and they began besieging Masha right after Lizaveta’s death? Then her half-brother from the provinces fell onto Masha’s neck, and after that both of them disappeared. Worried by their disappearance and the thoughts of the neighbor’s strange death, Arkhipov visits the “bad apartment” and finds a corpse of a sect lawyer there. How did he end up here? Who killed him? Could it be… Masha?
