The writer and leader of the Arkhangelsk regional branch of the “People’s Council” Alexander Tutov and journalist Anatoly Bednov reflect on the life and problems of Pomorye and modern Russia.
Their interlocutors are well-known figures in Pomorye and in Russia—participants in significant events. The book includes interviews and conversations recorded “on the heels of events” over the last three years (2012–2014). It’s about social and cultural issues, politics and literature, and of course about events in Ukraine, in Crimea, and in Donbas, and about Russia’s role in a rapidly changing world. In the “Conversations,” the hottest topics of the present are raised.
