A continuation of the story “One Year of Life.” Gloria forgets the meaning of the word “purposefulness,” which once determined her fate. It was precisely because of that word that one day she broke out of the provincial town; it was because of it that she returned back; because of it she met Martin—and because of it, what happened to her, happened… There are no goals anymore. Not a single one… Gloria’s recovery is difficult, and over time it becomes clear that there is no real recovery at all. The time spent with Martin seems like a hazy veil of her past life, all of whose ties have been decisively cut… But only on Gloria’s side.
