When I was a child, I had three dreams: to teach music, to become a journalist, and to write a book. As I grew older, other dreams appeared, but these three stayed the main ones. I got a music education and taught at a music school for 10 years. For fifteen years I was faithful to TV journalism. Over the years of working in television, I met remarkable modern people—each meeting left an indelible mark on my soul. And finally, the book… It all began with a call to the wonderful actor, director, screenwriter, and writer Boris Mirza. “I dream of writing a screenplay. Please teach me.” He gave me an assignment: to describe the courtyard of the house where I lived as a child. I started writing. And I wrote until I finished the book. Memories surged in, surrounded me on all sides, didn’t let me sleep or think about anything else. I was happy while writing this book, even if not all the memories were pleasant. This is my life: very different—in some ways happy, in some ways not so much. But mine.
