The book includes a novel and a psychological article. Both the novel and the article are about people with narcissistic disorders. Usually, a narcissist is used as a label for a self-absorbed, selfish person—almost everyone remembers the myth of Narcissus who died because of love for himself. In psychology, however, the term refers to a narcissistic personality trait that only faintly resembles the everyday idea.
The author suggests looking at the lives of narcissists from two angles: from the perspective of the people who live next to them, and from the perspective of the psychotherapist who works with them.
For psychologists, psychotherapists, and a wide circle of readers.
