Catch Me a Colobus

This book is dedicated to five brave employees of the Jersey Zoo, who, through their tireless work, selfless dedication, and cheerful outlook—even in the darkest and most joyless moments—so many times helped me out. Without such reliable support, I wouldn’t have gone far. Their names are: Cath Weller, Betty Boazear, Jeremy Molinson, John (Shep) Mallet, and John (Tall John) Hartley.

The book covers about seven years; I, like a gardener, had to trim some things and transplant others, so not all episodes are presented in chronological order. This was done only for the smooth flow of the narrative, and if the reader notices certain rearrangements, they will understand the reason.
