Mason Deny, a detective from Vancouver, is sent due to personal problems to work in a backwater town where everything seems strange to him. To make things worse, he is immediately hit by a tangled, bloody case whose chronology is strikingly reminiscent of Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None.” By a river they find a hydroplane with victims, but soon it turns out the tragedy wasn’t caused by an accident. Mason and the head of the local search-and-rescue team, Kelly Sutton, will have to face their own fears to solve the mystery and determine who in this case is the victim—and who is the predator.
