“Under the Waves of Imatra” is the first novel of a trilogy by the Russian writer Alexander Ivanovich Krasnitsky about the adventures of Mephody Kirillovich Kobylyakin—Russia’s Sherlock Holmes, a clever, perceptive detective who unravels the most terrible and mysterious crimes. The book was written under the pseudonym Alexander Lavrov.

The plot of the trilogy revolves around the fate of the daughter of a Russian merchant Vorobyov, who unexpectedly becomes the heiress to immense fortunes and power over vast territories of the Far East. Alexander Krasnitsky is the author of about 100 novels, numerous short stories, and poems.
