Surprisingly, despite how simple his children’s stories seem, it’s not so easy to create a truly good work. Artist and writer V. Suteev achieved certain heights in the field of children’s literature. Each of his story is meaningful, easy to present, and sometimes supplemented with humor. Children find it easy to perceive such works and are ready to listen to them again and again. Simple but instructive plots of his stories formed the basis of many animated films.
The story “Under the Mushroom,” “The Apple,” “The Cat-Fisherman,” and others are small masterpieces of children’s literature. Most often, the main characters are animals, insects, or birds which, when placed in everyday life situations, find something surprising and interesting in them. Thus, in “Under the Mushroom,” a child not only becomes a witness to the fact that mushrooms grow quickly under a summer rain, but also learns an example of true friendship, self-sacrifice, and courage. And in “The Apple,” a way of making a fair decision in a conflict is proposed, and the pointlessness of fighting is shown.
Such literature brings up a child in the best way. An accessible and correct fairy tale instills the right patterns of behavior and brings pleasure.
