We present an audio version of Vladimir Shtern’s autobiography “Almost a Book.” “Almost a Book” tells about entertaining incidents and meetings along the author’s life path, and about difficult human relationships.
For more than 25 years, Vladimir Shtern worked on the construction of the Moscow Metro, moving from a worker to Deputy Chief of “Moskovsky Metrostroy.” Many of the events described in the book remained unknown to the public until now—and will be of interest to a wide circle of readers.
A large section of “Almost a Book” is devoted to the author’s memories of working in the Inter-branch Scientific and Technical Complex “Eye Microsurgery” and personal meetings with the legendary surgeon, head of the complex, Professor Svyatoslav Nikolaevich Fedorov.
The author reads it himself—reviving the pages of the book in a completely special way.
