Pleroma

By genre, the novel “Pleroma” can be described as an esoteric action thriller or a mystical thriller. A captivating plot, intelligent dialogues, subtle humor. The book has the structure of Quentin Tarantino’s famous “pulp fiction,” with events unfolding not linearly, but like in a kaleidoscope. However, once you look into the contents, a curious reader can easily reveal the true structure of the narrative and read the entire work again—now arranging the chapters in a completely different, correct order.

At the center of the story are two 90s-era bandits who carry out some assignment for their boss, constantly philosophizing and debating all kinds of topics (from the everyday to the lofty and metaphysical). Before us unfolds an inner drama of the opposition between the individual and society. The main character tries to figure himself out: is he just a cog in the huge mechanism of society, or—on the contrary—a bright and unique personality, a divine individuality opposing the totalitarian social machine?..
