Maxim Kotin was born in 1980 in St. Petersburg. He worked as a reporter and editor at journals “Sekret firmy,” Forbes, and “Snob.”
In 2007 he released his first major work—a bestseller about business “in Russian,” “Chichvarkin Y… genius.” For it, he received the “Business-Book 2008” award in the “Business Stories” category.
In 2011 his book “And botanists also do business” was published about Fyodor Ovchinnikov, the founder of the pizza chain “Dodo Pizza.” It won the “Choice of Runet-2011” award.
In the foreword, Yevgeny Chichvarkin called this work “the best book about entrepreneurship in Russia.”
Maxim also oversaw the MIF series “Real Stories” (including serving as producer and editor of the bestseller “An Elephant on the Dance Floor”).
He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Saint Petersburg State University.
