The feuilleton “Petersburg Chronicle” in “S.-Petersburg Gazette” dated April 13, 1847 was accompanied by the following note from the editorial office: “The sudden illness and then the death of our talented, conscientious, unforgettable staff member E. I. Guber is the reason we had to turn this time to one of our young literati.”
