Lotta Bøk is a middle-aged woman who is completely satisfied with her life. She teaches at the Academy of Arts in Oslo, and her lectures are both thoughtful and expressive. When a graduating film student, Tage Bast, asks Lotta to participate in his art project, Lotta agrees, though she doubts it (it’s a joke, but Tage Bast seems to be interested in her).
The filming changes Lotta’s perception of herself. For the first time, she sees herself from the outside—and she doesn’t like it much.
