A radio play based on the eponymous story by Kir Bulychev, which later became the first part of the story "The Village".
One day, a spaceship crashed on this planet. People tried not to die in hostile surroundings—and they succeeded. This is how the Village was born. But with each year there are fewer and fewer of them—those who remember and those who were born not here. And they realize that it’s possible to survive by connecting with this world—as their children, the planet’s new Mowglis—but to remain human, you must preserve the old knowledge, at least by trying to return to Earth. And for that, they need to establish a connection in the abandoned spaceship. So, year after year, a handful of tortured people storms the Pass. Knowing not all will make it. Hoping that at least one will.
