Crossroads

Never approach a mage. Don’t touch him, don’t thank him. Never resist the dæin. Only he can save you from a mage. Respect the gods. Keep away from sorcerers. And don’t try to change the current order.

But what if, in a world where nothing has changed for a long time, a person appears who simply doesn’t know the established rules? And when she finds out, she won’t want to follow them? What if she touches a mage, spits on the gods, and isn’t afraid to become a sorceress? What happens then? Most likely, the gods simply won’t survive. And that will change everything.
