A little-known but intriguing writer of the early 20th century is Mikhail Osorgin. “Pince-nez” is one of the works created by the Russian author while in emigration.
In Osorgin’s works there is both a passionate love for nature and close attention to everything living on earth. And in several stories one can even see an unusual attachment to inconspicuous and indispensable things of everyday life. These works were included in the cycle “A Man’s Things.”
