The Spider

Three people committed suicide while staying in the same room of a Paris hotel, and their deaths were identical — they hanged themselves from a hook driven into the window frame, where the glazing forms a cross.
Now the hotel stands empty. Taking advantage of the circumstances, a poor student convinced the police that he can handle this case and moved into the room where he lived, of course, for free — the hotel owner needed confirmation that the guests had nothing to fear.
