Military, ethnographic, and geographical details are described reliably; the everyday life of early 20th-century Russia is portrayed; historical documents, letters, and orders are used; the folklore of that time is included.
The author of the book, Svetlana Sheshunova, is a Doctor of Philology, a professor at the Linguistics Department, and a regular author for the radio station of the St. Petersburg Metropolis “Grad Petrov.”
