When does our mind get born? After all, we don’t remember our own birth. What was before, when we were forming in our mother’s body? What moment should be considered the beginning of our appearance in this world? For when a man and a woman performed a ritual, and the sperm met the egg—we began. Two met and sent two on their way to meet. Then came a thought, and, obeying the rule of logic, it gave birth to reason. Tangled pairs of particles fly apart across incredible distances and maintain instant connection. Alas, we want a miracle, doubting it—yet we live with it, because it’s part of reality.
