Description
Humanity can only do one thing: spend irreplaceable (and slowly irreplaceable) resources and go extinct. If you help it to be reborn, then this cycle will simply repeat again. An organization calling itself Stasis keeps resurrecting humanity again and again. Let the Sun exhaust its hydrogen reserves; let the Milky Way collide with M31—these are just temporary difficulties for the Stasis engineers. The main thing for Stasis is the existence of humanity itself (and the possibility to restore civilization after yet another decline). But what is the final goal of all these resurrections? Is there one at all?
