In New York, it’s scary again. At the very heart of Harlem, a series of horrific murders has been committed: the killer’s signature remains unchanged, there are no leads, and the police chief realizes that the standard methods have reached a dead end. To prevent panic and any FBI involvement, he makes a desperate move—bringing in for the investigation Sam Cottling, a man who “feels a little more than others.” Sam’s official cover becomes the development of a biometric identification system, while detective Anna Heather serves as his “shadow” and curator.
