Peter McDermott, the hotel manager in New Orleans, had a terrible week. The hotel owner can’t find the money to repay the loan; a large conference of dentists is coming up; an elderly guest is suffocating in the stuffy room; the Croydons have caused a scandal because of spilled sauce. But he’ll handle all these difficulties—and Christina, the secretary of Warren Trent, will help him with that.
