The novel “Fatherland” by Konstantin Sedykh thematically continues his well-known novel “Dauria.” It depicts events of the last years of the Civil War: the expulsion of the White Guards and the interventionists from Transbaikalia and the Far East, the reunification of the Far Eastern Republic with Russia, the return of partisans to peaceful life, and their work to strengthen the Soviet system.
Many of the heroes of “Dauria” move on to the novel “Fatherland.” Alongside them, new characters appear as well: the Bolsheviks Blyukher and Postyshev, and the people’s hero of Mongolia, Sukhe-Bator.
