Crimea was not taken by the Bolsheviks during the Civil War; it remained an independent territory — the name of which is the Island of Crimea. Fantasy!? Aksenov wrote about this in the 1970s. For the first time the book saw the light in 1981, and for a long time it was not available to Russian readers. Hollywood was interested in the script of this fantastic story — it just didn’t work out yet. Today we can’t watch “The Island of Crimea,” but we can listen to it!
