Shards of Truth

In the place where I ended up, there’s no escaping. There’s no way out, and it’s unlikely there ever will be. Pain… it comes in many forms. Pain can be a sharp prick or a dull heaviness; it can tear at your heart or your soul. It can be physical, felt in every cell of your body, or emotional—forcing you to relive dark moments. In government camps we went through all of this, and I thought it was over—that it was the end. But the worst is yet to come.
