In this book-research, Dhamma teacher and experienced meditation practitioner Richard Shenkman examines a wide range of traditional views and teachings—sometimes conflicting—on how samadhi (concentration) is understood, taught, and practiced. In the first part of the book, the author looks at an extensive spectrum of teachings related to samadhi, analyzes different approaches, and how they can enrich and deepen our meditation practice. The second part consists of a series of interviews with renowned Buddhist teachers of our time.
