The Nord Stream gas pipeline system, which connected Europe and Russia to deliver gas via the Baltic Sea, for more than ten years ensured reliable transportation of Russian “blue fuel” to EU consumers. But everything changed in 2022, when powerful underwater explosions occurred on the Nord Streams, causing gas leaks into the Baltic Sea. The incident sparked a wide international resonance. Sweden, Denmark, and Germany began independent investigations. Russia also didn’t stay on the sidelines and opened a criminal case into international terrorism. The investigation was assigned to the head of the Department of the Military Counterintelligence of the FSB of Russia, Colonel Oleg Yermilov. It is he who must identify everyone responsible for organizing and carrying out this sabotage.
