Smart and insightful prose about a modern person by the well-known satirist and publicist Viktor Shenderovich. Three novellas from different years—“Scheveningen” (2008), “Operation ‘Island’” (2009), “Saveliev” (2016)—Viktor Anatolyevich read himself, with his unique expressive style. As Dina Rubina puts it, the listener is in for “real prose, a concise, exhaustive phrase, precise dialogues, humor—almost imperceptibly embedded into the fabric—and at the end, a resonance of deep sadness.”
