Opal

Oksana is fascinated by Slavic paganism, especially everything connected with the cult of the ancient god Veles. She asks Danila to help her obtain a red opal that was recently used to bury a local village witch. Oksana believes this stone has magical power and, for centuries, has been passed down from generation to generation among the initiated of the cult. Raised in Christian traditions, Danila is outraged by such a request, but still agrees, because he has long been in love with Oksana.
