"One-Storey America" is a travel sketch book by Ilf and Petrov. Four people (both authors and the married couple Adams from New York) crossed America from the Atlantic to the Pacific and back in just two months on a newly purchased Ford “noble mouse color” (late 1935 to early 1936). On the pages of the book, the authors reveal in depth, in detail, and with humor the everyday life of Americans at that time.
