The author describes a farewell night with a woman tied to him by memories of the past. Despite the fact that she doesn’t let him kiss her on the lips and doesn’t allow for intimacy, she remains kind and tender—allowing embraces and kisses, but no longer the way they used to be.
The man falls into reflection on the moments they experienced—joy and pain, the mistakes and the lessons they brought. He compares the birth of their feelings to a blossoming tree, and their fading to the painful indifference he tried to hide from her. Thoughts of betrayal also occupy his mind.
Vyacheslav Prakh, in his new story, sincerely and emotionally explores the joys, sorrows, and complexities that arise in relationships between close people.
