“You ran away from me!” Amir growls, looming over me like a storm cloud.
“No, I just came back home,” I answer boldly, even though fear twists my stomach.
“You owe me, beauty.” His smile is like a savage grin.
“What are you talking about?” I ask, terrified, staring into the sheikh’s black eyes.
“You know exactly what I mean!” he says, undoing the buckle of his belt.
“Take off your clothes.”
I made a mistake: giving in to a moment of weakness, I almost surrendered to an eastern stranger. Luckily, I snapped out of it in time and escaped, hoping we’d never meet again. But fate had other plans.
