Description
Specially for EKSMO, the epic poem "Odyssey" in the performance of the legendary voice of MTV Russia, Evgeny Rybov.
The poem "Odyssey" by the legendary poet of Ancient Greece, Homer, is one of the greatest works in world literature. The dangerous adventures of the cunning and much-suffering Odysseus (who, with a burning desire to return home to Ithaca, must face a duel with Poseidon, visit the land of savage cannibals and the island of the sorceress Circe, and then set off for the threshold of the kingdom of the dead), the tender feelings of the heroes and the passions raging across the pages of the poem—legends and secrets that shroud the past—finally, the very language in which Homer’s poem is written, remarkably vivid and expressive—everything about it draws in new readers again and again, inspiring poets and artists.
