Lonely Planet

Before people appeared, Eiliks was very lonely. But of her loneliness, of course, she didn’t know: back then, memory was the main thing in her consciousness, and what appeared in her memories consisted only of the simplest things. Warmth and cold, the brilliance of the sun and the darkness, rains and droughts—these were all the concepts Eiliks knew, although she was already unimaginably old. Yet on her planet she was the first creature endowed with consciousness.
