On a beautiful sunny June morning, a bankrupt businessman Relonen and a grieving widower, Colonel Kempainen, decide to commit suicide.
By sheer chance, both choose the same old barn for it. After talking, they come to the conclusion that they are not alone in their decision—there are many people in Finland who want to settle accounts with life. So why not create a kind of “suicide club”? And so begins a strange journey across all of Finland and Western Europe—sad and funny, deadly and yet also saving.
