The heroes of Alexey Ivanov’s novel "Common Hostel of Blood" are smart people and maximalists, and they know how to find reasons that allow them to do things they don’t really want to do—and shouldn’t do. To survive in a hostel, they have to sacrifice a great deal. But how far is it allowed to go without betraying oneself and one’s friends?
