Dr. Sue Johnson is the Director of the Ottawa (Canada) and International Centre for Training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as a distinguished professor and research associate at the International University of San Diego (USA, California) and a professor of clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Psychological Association and holds numerous honorary titles and awards, including an award for outstanding contributions to marriage and family therapy research from the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and Family and Marriage Studies, as well as an award for contributions to research devoted to family therapy from the American Association for Family Therapy.
She trains EFT methods and approaches for psychotherapists around the world and also serves as a consultant for the U.S. and Canadian Armed Forces and the New York City Fire Department.
