I had an important interview the next day, so before bed I took a sedative. To sleep well and get a fresh head for my new job. Who could’ve thought that the sedative would put me into a near-sleep until almost ten in the morning—when the interview was exactly at ten? I absolutely had to get there! So I was racing in my car, breaking every possible road traffic rule, and trying to brush my teeth right behind the wheel.
No surprise that in all that chaos I crashed into an incredibly expensive sports car. The prospect of a decade-long loan and a joyless, impoverished old age flashed before my eyes. I missed the interview. I don’t have a husband, though I’m already twenty-five. It seems my life has gone off the rails.
An offer from the owner of the sports car interrupted my gloomy thoughts. He decides to forget the scratch if I sit with his two lovely children for one day. The nanny’s gone, and he has an important meeting. Well then. There’s no choice. Besides, how much trouble could two sweet kids possibly cause me?
Two little evil monsters! I thought I’d be babysitting, not ending up in hell! But there’s a pleasant bonus—a handsome rich man who asks me to play the role of his fiancée. Seems like I’ll be staying here!
