Novecento: The Legend of the Pianist

Novecento—or literally from Italian “[one] thousand nine hundredth”—is not only a number marking the first year of the 20th century. That is the name of the brilliant self-taught pianist born aboard an ocean liner. He has neither documents nor citizenship nor relatives—only the name given to him by the stokers. Novecento never left the ship and never stepped onto land; in a storm and in calm, he never lets go of the keys—and yet, as if, he has experienced an entire World.
