Gentle Steel: A Collection of Science Fiction Stories

The collection includes works by finalists of the contest “Tender Steel,” organized by “1С-Publishing” and held in 2019–2020 on the Author.Today portal. The final judging was done by well-known science-fiction writers Алексей Широков, Маргарита Блинова, Григорий Шаргородский, and Ирина Котова. From 350 stories, the best were selected. These very works are now offered to the audience. By the contest rules, the main heroine had to be a representative of the fair half of humanity—someone who knows how to stand up for herself. The stories in the anthology represent different genres: here you’ll find fantasy, a fantastic action thriller, and comedic science fiction. All the heroines are unlike one another; each has her own story and her own fate. The stories are accompanied by carefully selected musical arrangements. After listening to them, you’ll learn whether tender steel can exist.
