Smallings: Sea Foam

After the death of Zarkloh, the sea was in complete chaos. Everywhere, swarms of blood-crazed sharks darted about; all kinds of monsters crawled out of burrows on the shallows, trying to devour one another—and, at the same time, as many other sea creatures as possible. Everyone tried to take the place of everyone else, as if the immense sea might soon turn into a dirty puddle.

Near the Twin Islands, dolphins ran into Glutton Glock. The monster was just finishing off a huge sea serpent, moving the grinding-stone “jaws” with calm persistence. And whom Glutton Glock could not eat under any circumstances was a sea elf. Once, dolphins worked together to give him such a “cleaning,” of what he believed were his brains, that even the sight of one of them—a squidhopping creature—made him start to feel sick. Seeing ten of them at once, Glock stopped chewing and glared with outrage.
