The detective writer Alex Shan-Girey decides to break up with the woman of his life in order to regain his freedom. At the same time, Manya Polivanova—who can’t stand lies and human suffering—is drawn into a mysterious crime. The head of the publisher’s IT department, Vladimir Beregovoy, becomes a murder suspect, and Manya is in danger.
