What sounds like something to one person can turn out for another to be mind-numbing, endless blows to living consciousness—an unbearable, never-ending roar—not some way for people to communicate with one another. Sometimes, in rare pauses between words, the guy managed to catch a fragment of their feelings and desires, the way an animal manages to grab a piece of bait before the steel jaws of a trap shut.
