The Sky Is Falling

In one of Earth’s parallel worlds, everything is governed by magic and astrology. Under their own constellation, people don’t get sick, but when the Sun moves into a new constellation, their character changes. The sky over the world is solid: inside this shell are the Sun, the stars, and the planets. The heavens are surrounded by a layer of phlogiston—gas with negative weight, not fit for breathing. The sky above the world has begun to crack and fall away in pieces, along with the stars and planets. Because of this, the magical laws are not being followed. To fix the sky, the saters (rulers) began recreating great scientists and builders from real Earth—Einstein, Cagliostro, the builders of the Egyptian pyramids, and so on. Among them was Dave Hanson, whose uncle had built a gigantic reflector wall along all of North Canada to improve the climate in America. Dave ends up with the saters to repair the sky. But not everything is so simple after the repair.
