Don't Shoot the Partisans…

The book was written by a participant of a partisan unit formed in Pinsk at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. Under the command of V. Z. Korzh, the unit carried out its first partisan battle against the Nazis on June 28, 1941. The author not only describes battles and sabotage acts, but also analyzes the reasons and motives that prompted mass resistance to the occupiers.

Written 60 years after the war, the book is a collection of memories and reflections on the sources of people’s resistance, military defeats, and the role of the partisan movement in defeating the enemy. It is an answer to attempts in our time to belittle the importance of the partisan movement and the deeds of its participants.
