He wasn’t like anyone I’d ever seen or known. Physically, he was perfectly built—tall, strong. But he was absolutely not handsome.
Everything about him was too much.
Too large a nose, with a noticeable hump. Too wide a mouth. Maybe that’s why he never smiled. A high forehead under thick, black bangs. Ears sticking out—nothing could hide them. And in his eyes—an eternal Arctic cold.
For me, he was a “monster.” And I never could have imagined that, later on, that “monster” would become the center of my universe.
