Description
Georg Hegel is rightfully considered one of the founders of German classical philosophy. The most important place in his scholarly work is occupied by “The Science of Logic,” in which the philosopher defines logic’s primary task, studies the paths leading to truth, and also the development of those paths. The founder of German classical philosophy, Georg Hegel, had the fate to live in a turbulent age. The scientific and industrial revolutions of the late 18th century and the ideas of Enlightenment humanists, the Great French Revolution under the banner of freedom, equality, and fraternity, and then the long Napoleonic wars… A favorable time for the birth of new philosophical theories and for reflections on human rights and the possibilities of the human mind, as well as the relationship between the spiritual and the material. These were the main problems of philosophy of German classical idealism, symbolized by Hegel. In “The Science of Logic,” the famous philosopher defines logic’s main task and studies the paths leading to truth. In Hegel’s view, logic cannot be a finished science—it always keeps its doors open for new conclusions and concepts. The phonogram is an audio version of part of the collection “G. G. Hegel: Introduction to the History of Philosophy. Lectures on Aesthetics. The Science of Logic. Philosophy of Nature.”
